Is your money contributing to climate change?  Right now, the answer is probably yes.

As we work to get the University of Wisconsin Foundation to divest from fossil fuels, many of us are wanting to take matters into our own hands and divest our personal finances from fossil fuels.  Fossil fuel companies are currently overvalued, and as the international community moves toward regulating carbon emissions, divestment may be a good long-term investment strategy as well as the right thing to do.

350 Madison Climate Action Team has invited Steve Zahn of First Affirmative Financial* and Salli Martyniak of Forward Community Investments** to talk with us about personal divestment from fossil fuels.  All are welcome.
